currently there are no plans for a python2 Debian package.
do you need it? is upgrading your project to python3 an option?

It's not an option since Shoebot implements Nodebox1, which is python2 ... if I make it python3, it won't be implementing Nodebox1 any more.
I might make a Shoebot3 in the future, but quite possibly not as it won't be able to run many existing bots (essentially python2 scripts).

tell the Nodebox1 implementors, that python2's EOL has been announced, so they should start migrating to python3.
in the meantime: i'll probably add python2 support to the Debian package once PySoundFile has been accepted in the archives (which might take some time)

Taking some time is fine. .. I'm hoping to be able to do a release in the next year or so.
I think all the Nodebox1 implementors are working on newer versions now that are quite different - NBX1 == graphics programming, NBX 3 is a graphical-programming-environment that is incompatible. Shoebot is to run those NBX1 programmes ... if I port it there won't be much to run on it at all.
