Elixir interface about telemetry HOT 4 CLOSED

I'm curious, what benefit does this really net?

Well for one, ecto already ships depending on the library and references the elixir module Telemetry

Also why not, it's easy and removes a little friction, which could help the library get wider adoption

We don't plan to ship an Elixir module because it doesn't provide much. We will have to think about how to handle the update on Ecto side of things but the plan is to move to the Erlang API indeed.

I don't think it's gonna be a problem on Ecto side as it uses {:telemetry, "~> 0.2.0"}, so if we release 0.3.0 with this change we should be good. We'd need to of course update Ecto code, docs etc but we don't expect breaking changes for users.
