Hey thanks flounders, really appreciate your help! I think perhaps the normal way on github is to fork the repository, then make any changes and then then send me a pull request (as explained here https://help.github.com/articles/using-pull-requests); this will allow me to review the changes before integrating/merging them. I've never done this before although it looks good when done properly; having said that, it might be easier to just email me.

Flounders, thanks for the pull request. I have integrated your changes with a few minor modifications. Btw., if you haven't already done so, in terms of your fork, I wonder if you could update your remote repository so that you also get the latest code and changes from my repo, i.e.

git remote add upstream https://github.com/benhj/teasafe.git
git fetch upstream

Obviously you don't have to do this but it will help to keep the code bases consistent!
To get the latest changes from upstream (i.e. benhj/teasafe), do

git rebase upstream/master
