Language menu shows non existent languages about bootstrap_package HOT 3 CLOSED

Hey @justfortherec, you are right. The Bootstrap Package is part of the Introduction Package so the default configuration for the language menu is needed by the Introduction Package. It was seperated into code (bootstrap_package) and database structure/assets(introduction) to get a more useful extension that you are allowed to use for your own projects or just copy all the stuff u need without need to worry about copyrights that exist on the images and texts.

We need to provide a ready to go package that solves most of the common issues by default. I am not really satisfied with the current situation about the language menu - but i have no idea how to solve this better. Currently trying to find out how to get this stuff automated so you dont really have to worry about this if you are a new TYPO3 user.

I am working on this, but cannot provide a timeframe in that you can expect a working stable solution.

I'm not concerned about myself. This issue can be easily solved with some TYPO3 experience. However I thought that it might be a good idea to make this extension behave correctly out of the because it is part of the introduction package. People who look at it might think using bootstrap_package is best practice and might want to use such a universally valuable extension.

Wouldn't it be possible to move those configurations specific to the Introduction Package to a separate extension? Isn't that what the distributions are for? Of course automating it is also a very elegant solution. Good to hear that you are on to that topic.

while the problem is still existend, it can now be configured with constants and and we provided more adaptable templates, still typoscript configuration needs to be made. as soon as we can see a light at the end of the tunnel we will try to provide a better solution.
