keystone... they are working, but connecting times out.

@sunnykb: Please check your nova-compute log on the compute node in
/var/log/nova-compute.log and you will understand why nova-compute doesn't
start.

@ Donfeuer: If the connection times out, it means either you are providing
a wrong OS_AUTH_URL or your keystone/glance are not running.

Please do :
service kesytone status to check if your keystone is running fine.
service glance-api status
service glance-registry status
to check on your glance situation.

If they are not working, check the log on the controller node:
/var/log/keystone/ and /var/log/glance/

P.S: the multi node branch is still an on going work, i am counting on your
feedback to get it to production

Hi,

Checked /var/log/nova/nova-compute.log and nova-manage.log

There is NO ERROR logged, juts INFO and AUDIT messages.

However, nova-manage returns XXX in status.

Restarted services on CONTROLLER and COMPUTE, no go.

I have exact same config, could not paste the log as compute node does not have internet connectivity unless a third interface is setup.

Hi,

Please verify that you setup your ntp server in compute node to follow your
controller node.
Please check if your sql connection in nova.conf of the compute node is set
to the controller node's database.

If you get a response of running in the compute node when you do a service
nova-compute status, then your compute is working fine but can't connect to
the nova db in the controller node !
