Arguments Quoting Issue about try HOT 3 CLOSED

Unfortunately the arguments are not quoted properly for now, however there is a clean and easy solution, to just write the script in a file and execute that:

$ cat test.sh
echo 'test | cat'
$ ./try bash test.sh
test | cat

from try.

I tried to use try with Zsh functions, and similarly it seems within Zsh only the first word (the command without any arguments) is run.

$ zsh -xc 'which ls' |& tail -n 2
+zsh:1> which ls
/usr/bin/ls
$ ./try zsh -xc 'which ls' |& tail -n 2
+/home/andy/.zshenv:13> skip_global_compinit=1
+zsh:1> which

from try.

It is unclear if there is a simple solution to get your desired behavior (other than using a script), so I will close this issue for now. If someone has an idea on how to resolve this, and there is a clear path to implementing it, we could reopen the issue!
