Sorry to disturb but I still can't get it to work, for example if I set --rpc-secret=thisistheuniversalkey
Then use http://token:thisistheuniversalkey@hostname:port/jsonrpc it should work, right? But turns out not.

I accidently used an older version of YAAW, I really should clean up my archives.
One of the history version is capable with aria2 1.14 or earlier, would you please kindly point out which one it is?

No, YAAW need at least version 1.15.2. This patch (aria2/aria2#19) is merged in 1.15.2 .

update: you may use YAAW with earlier version of aria2 without username&password.
