What version of companion are you using?
I don't see any reference to this in the xkeys library we are using. It would probably be better to open an issue there, as they will need to implement support for it https://github.com/SuperFlyTV/xkeys/
Interestingly, I can't find much info on this model online. A few for sale but not any documentation or reference to it on the xkeys website.

Please can you share exactly what the unsupported message says too @spoelstraethan , there will probably be some numbers listed after it.
Or alternatively if you can let us know the product ID that appears via USB (in Device Manager in Windows, or lsusb on Linux (and probably Mac))

So the interesting thing is I have a Kinesis FS004-USB-G that is identical physically (sans the XKeys logo sticker on top and Kinesis-ergo.com label on the bottom) and it shows up as one or two devices (currently is programmed with left/right mouse buttons and a Ctrl+Z chord, so one device in evtest is the keyboard and one is the mouse).
I've gone down a rabbit hole with older Kinesis Savant Elite pedals, and I've figured out from hackaday that I'll have better luck just replacing the controller board with an RP2040 based microcontroller and it'll be much easier to program too.
