The per-file hash specified in BEP 47 will be obsoleted by bittorrent v2 which uses per-file merkle trees with SHA256.

It's not really obsolete as it can still be used as a deduplication hint that can be interoperable with other tools.
But a hint is all that it has always been. The canonical information is in the piece hashes (and length field, cf. length extension attacks), which has been strengthened to sha256 with BEP 52.
