It seems that the unserialize call crashes on the … string, because its length was oddly considered to be 8 when it was first serialized. Just tested the same string and didn't encounter the problem, the computed length was 3. Tell me if you find an explanation for the bad length :)

I filled in … instead of …, so that might explain something?

Yes, so in fact the configuration data were serialized with …, but HTML entities were later decoded for some reason directly in the serialized string... seems less random this way, will investigate this one asap :)

Fixed by 9651b98. This was due to htmlEscape() not encoding existing entities
