UDP: got invalid header and short txids from trust peers about bitcoinsatellite HOT 4 CLOSED

Looks like the crash was probably out of memory error. I just looked at free -h after using Lopp’s bitcoin.conf generator to find any parameter that I could lower a lot to decrease memory/cpu usage and I noticed swap is half used (perhaps from before making the changes to bitcoin.conf as it shows currently only using 534 MB and 2.9 GB available).

Interestingly, fixing the presumed out of memory issue seems to have fixed the invalid header from trusted source problem. I don’t get that error message any more. So I will close issue on this comment.

Actually, changing bitcoin.conf to minimally resource intensive configuration only let the node run longer. Trusted source with invalid header issue came up again. Then crash without anything in debug log to indicate why. I’m out of ideas on what to try next. I have some rock pro 64 stuff coming in the mail. Maybe this issue will disappear (for me) then.

I haven’t a clue what caused this issue, but running headless solves it. Sometimes I think Linux hates me, especially Ubuntu, but maybe just window managers hate me. The command line doesn’t know me well to form an opinion I suppose ;-)
