App Links as a protocol require an http or https url as the authoritative source of information (and also as the target url). It is therefore incorrect to try to navigate to just a custom url scheme, since
a.) it cannot be referenced from the internet, and cannot tell others about linking protocols in other platforms
b.) has no authoritative source
If you want to navigate to custom url schemes, then you should just do an [[UIApplication sharedApplication] openURL:url] directly, since it's NOT an App Link by definition.
