This could be an interesting feature, and I totally see your point about discoverability.
Right now shipping the v3.0 is our priority so I don't think that I will start working on it for now, but if you have the time to work on this feature by yourself it would be great!

Thanks for this awesome graph component. I am using it in my US Debt app. I would also like to see this new feature implemented because many of my users do not realize they must drag to see the popup text and vertical line.

I'm currently working on different ways to make the user aware that the graph is interactive. One of them is the one you describe here.
I hope to be done with it by the end of next week.

By the way, @larryaasen, just out of curiosity, do you have any stat on users realizing that the graph is interactive?
