This is something I do want to address in v2.1 (what I'm currently working on).

My thought was to try to re-use styles already existing in themes. For example, maybe using a couple different styles used for callouts.

I still need to do some exploration around that, to see if the the results would be relatively consistent across themes, or if maybe borrow from some other preformatted elements might be better.

But if that doesn't work, I do like the styles you proposed. They look much better than the current!

Getting the style from callouts seems to be a WONDERFUL idea!
It will probably have much more consistency across all themes!

I was afraid some themes could not render some elements properly inside callouts, but that's not the case.
I've just tested the basic and it works flawlessly for my theme!
