There is a bug in electron with getLoginItemSettings when setLoginItemSettings has been used with arguments. On Windows, we can ignore the argument verification by using executableWillLaunchAtLogin in place of openAtLogin. under Windows. However, this is only available under Windows.

"executableWillLaunchAtLogin boolean Windows - true if app is set to open at login and its run key is not deactivated. This differs from openAtLogin as it ignores the args option, this property will be true if the given executable would be launched at login with any arguments."

So, at this point, you could bringing in how auto-launch does it for Windows (manually set/get the regkey). Or you may also just wait for the next version. I'm almost done converting it to javascript as an ES6 module.

Interesting. Seems like quite the mess - it's frustrating not being able to use the same method across the OSes we support. Are you sure it's a bug with Electron? We're a number of versions behind.. so I wonder if it's a bug in the version we're using or in the latest version or something else?

Would you at all be able to submit a PR for this? Seems like you've had a handle on this at one point at least..
