After working on this, it was found that even though this is the "correct" way of including styles when using Webpack as the bundler, this hits hard the Transferred size and the Loading time of the app. Because of this, we decided to keep querying the <head> and including the <link> tags if not present.
Using <link> tags:

This was reopened because it was found out that only semantic UI bloats the size of the package.
We opted to load semantic using <link> tags and loading other third party libraries with Webpack's approach.
