Hmmm that's very weird. I wasn't able to reproduce it:

I did:

1. Yanked "^"
2. Opened a buffer (with another file)
3. Pasted the yanked text (tested from both normal and insert modes) using <C-v>

Perhaps I did something wrong?... or maybe it's something similar that happened in #9. $TERM wasn't set properly in one of the collaborators' terminal (diagnosed by @mrjones2014 ).

How to reproduce an issue:

1. Open Neovim
2. Set any catppuccino.nvim dark flavor
3. Go into insert mode
4. Press C-q or C-v (look at :h i_CTRL_V)
5. Press C-q or C-v again. You shoud have ^Q or ^V pasted.
6. ^Q or ^V are too dark to be recognized.

BUT

Light Melya

Note on issue: manually typing ^V won't reproduce behavior, it needs to be pasted using C-Q or C-V
Also issue reproducible ONLY on dark flavors
