I think this is a cool idea. This would make it a bit more distinct too and show its framework power. @linclark what are your thoughts?

I agree. Maybe it could be setup to make a very tiny website built around each successive step.

So sounded like folks thought it was a great idea, but I don't think anyone has the time to do the work. If someone does want to volunteer to step up and refactor feel free to reopen the ticket or more ideally just open up a new issue / pr.
