Yes, eventually. It's just not a priority right now.

Aww too bad, that means we won't be able to use fmdb on any of those new projects. Or is there a workaround that doesn't include deactivating arc completely?

Just add -fno-objc-arc for those particular files. Check out the comments here:

Anyone else who keeps getting ARC errors on fmdb.m? I've tried re-adding, cleaning, etc. The flag works on all other files, but not on fmdb. I've directly added the source files to my project.

Don't add fmdb.m to your project, it's only used for testing stuff.
