@latristesse first of all, make sure your unmark instance is in a separate folder than your domain.com files.

For example, in your www folder, if you've got a folder called domain.com, then you need to make another folder called unmark. Then you need to configure the Apache vhosts file for unmark.domain.com (or, if you're using CPanel, configure a subdomain called unmark.domain.com and place all Unmark files in the folder that gets created for it)

This way, Unmark will be available to you ONLY on unmark.domain.com and not on domain.com/unmark/

After you set that up, go to unmark.domain.com/setup and follow the instructions.

I have the same issue. I've got a subdomain set up but pointing my browser to subdomain.domain.com/setup gets an error page.

If you would like to update the paths in the app to point to your subfolder you may. This can be done both in index.php and /application/config/routes.php -- Those familiar with CodeIgniter should be able to make these types of updates pretty easily. We do not provide hands on support for these types of issues at this time.
