6LBR Integration with rime communication (non-IP nodes) about 6lbr HOT 3 CLOSED

Are you planning to use 6LBR for 6LoWPAN devices as well alongside your non-IP rime devices, or not? 6LBR today only supports IPv6, and we have no plans of supporting IPv4 or non-IP stacks. For IPv4, the Mist from Thingsquare is probably the best way to go, and for Rime I'm afraid I can't help you much as I have never used it myself.

What exactly are you trying to achieve with Rime that you cannot accomplish with IP?

What I'm planning to do is to have a single gateway that support both communication for IP based devices and non-IP devices. As we know, many of legacy devices are not support IP, hence as proof of concept, I want to use Rime to represent non-IP device. so I'm planning to have kind of dispatcher running on modified 6LBR, if there's request towards IP devices, it will use uIPv6 otherwise it will use rime.
