Sorry for the late reply:
Technically send2cgeo is only doing the magic to send over the gc code to your device, where after c:geo loads the cache to your device via the normal connection to geocaching.com.
This means a working server connection on your device is needed for the send2cgeo workflow, so its not possible to use send2cgeo in your case. You have to stick to GPX (or replace your device with another one running a higher Android version).
