Is this resolved? I saw that the README refers to SSKeychain https://github.com/soffes/sskeychain being used.

All passwords are stored in the iOS keychain using SSKeychain. The OTR private key(s) are stored with the NSFileProtectionComplete flag, which should provide some basic level of protection. After the Core Data transition is complete we are looking into methods to use an additional layer of crypto like SQLCipher to protect that data.
However, a benefit of OTR (vs something like PGP) is that even if your private key is stolen, all they are able to do is impersonate you in a future conversation, and won't be able to decrypt your past conversations.
