SMS message APP_CODE overwritten about cordova-plugin-firebase-authentication HOT 2 OPEN

I do not touch any logic related to a verification SMS content. Why do you need force Resending Token?

It seems like for usual practice, if I would like to resend an sms, the code should be different from the previous one. The timeout is set to 0 in the verifyPhoneNumber function but no matter I close the app or kill the app, the same sms code was sent to the phone when the timeout has passed. (P.S. The verification Id is different every time.)
The official doc mentioned something like this:

The verifyPhoneNumber method is reentrant: if you call it multiple times, such as in an activity's onStart method, the verifyPhoneNumber method will not send a second SMS unless the original request has timed out.

Not sure if there are any methods to send a separate one. Just want to have a try if other functions work as expected. Please advise if you have any ideas.
