It requires the beta client for these options to stick, but another issue specific to game mode is the fact that Valve disabled Steam Deck to PC transfers. It's only PC to PC and PC to Steam Deck at the current moment and our PC's are being treated as a Steam Deck.

This is a Valve issue. Currently both clients need to be in beta selected and only work in PC->PC or PC->Steamdeck scenarios. Since we can't control this, I'll close this issue.
