I wonder if it is game specific? I played Soul Calibur, Dead or Alive 2 and Crazy Taxi 2 without a bios.

Oh ok, I'll test again. Incidentally, none of the games I tested worked, with the emulator just showing the BIOS menu. I guess the problem was maybe with the disc images I was using.

I'm just wondering. From which region were the games that you tested? EU, US, or JAP? Also, you used CHD files correct?

Ok, nevermind. Seems as if simply all of the images I tried didn't work. But I tried a different source and it works. You're right no BIOS needed. I'll close this issue.
