Update notification doesn't (but should) use Notification Settings about tweetduck HOT 4 CLOSED

Update notifications only display in the browser window, they're not supposed to be a popup. More details please?

No further details necessary (was unaware they were implemented as in-browser dialogs). Consider this a request to make update notifications/dialog actual notifications (rather than in-browser modals) for consistency / reduce complexity.

Sorry, having it as a notification would be an unnecessary design challenge since update notifications aren't timed and some people don't have notifications enabled at all; current update notifications are implemented in a mostly unused area so it doesn't conflict with anything important.

On-launch notification would solve this as would showing Update available in settings.

Additionally, while the original request was for update notifications to honour all notification settings, it could also honour all except duration, IF keeping them un-timed is critically important.

Note: The most important aspect of this request was the location / offset settings
