Thank you for adding this feature request.
Streaming upload is in our road-map. However, there is no ETA yet.
Another possible solution is to use direct image uploading from the browser to Cloudinary without going through your server. We have a jQuery based solution for direct uploading. See our blog post for more details: http://cloudinary.com/blog/direct_image_uploads_from_the_browser_to_the_cloud_with_jquery
No Node.js sample code included yet, but it should work in the same way.
