I think it'd be great if this projects switched to postgres and adopted a declarative schema approach through migra or similar. This would open a pathway towards both more of a document store model which is befitting of a graph but also terraform like state diffs and the ability to automatically compute the commands necessary to put a remote state in the existing DB state if I understand the scope of the project correctly. This would be very much like terraform however the choice of the utilization of RDS and similar databases makes us much more powerful because they support this kind of operation by default.
