The event lag monitor works by setting an interval every 50ms, and comparing when it runs to when it was scheduled to run. If that lag is less than 3ms, and the measurement has been taken at least 20 times, it is considered done. That means that if all is going to plan and there is not much lag, it should complete in one second. I'm starting to think that the 20 points requirement is a little much, tuning it down to 8-10 points is probably a better bet to better handle quick loading sites. I'll make it a configuration option.

Do you mind trying a few numbers for that option and reporting back what works best? For a fast loading site without much js, the best bet might just be to leave that source disabled.

Is this the right way to configure it?
<script type="text/javascript">
window.paceOptions = {
ajax: true,
document: true,
eventLag: {
minSamples: 10
}
}
</script

Yep. Make sure you use the latest pace, as this change hasn't made it into a release yet. 10 is the default now, so the configuration you have there won't actually change anything, but lower numbers will.
