Functionality to disable pace completely about pace HOT 5 CLOSED

It shouldn't autoinit with amd. It currently checks if typeof define is 'function' and define.amd. In any case, you can manually set startOnPageLoad to false before bringing in pace:

paceOptions = {
  startOnPageLoad: false
}

Actually it seems that the problem is related to #getElement function which is called regardless of pace being initiated or not.

Are you sure you're putting paceOptions before bringing in the file? If startOnPageLoad is false, start should never get called, which is what is rendering the bar.

If you guys are just looking to disable Pace on subsequent ajax calls, use this code

Pace.options.ajax = false;
