You must be new to the Mac. :)
Just like the vast majority of other applications for OS X, all you need to do to get rid of gfxCardStatus is drag it to the trash. Then you're done!

Either that, or he has enough experience to know that there might be something in /s/l/e that lurks around after the userland app has been dragged to the trash, haunting his system for far longer.
Just sayin... :-)

Where is it installed? It's not in /Applications/. It'd be helpful if someone wrote rm -cf ...
command required to uninstall here
from gfxcardstatus.
@dasmith It's not in /Applications if you don't put it in /Applications. It's probably wherever you downloaded it to. I can't just give you a command to remove it because there's no guarantee that every user puts it in the same place (of which you're the perfect example).

I see. it was in my downloads folder, but had created a preference to be initialized at statup (just giving me an error that my graphics card was unsupported).
In case it's a help to others, in addition to the gfxCardStatus.app
, the other files are:
rm ~/Library/Preferences/com.codykrieger.gfxCardStatus-Preferences.plist
rm ~/Library/Preferences/com.codykrieger.gfxCardStatus.plist.lockfile
rm ~/Library/Preferences/com.codykrieger.gfxCardStatus.plist
rm -rf ~/Library/Caches/com.codykrieger.gfxCardStatus

Why that files usually don't stay into the App? Are for a reinstall purpose?
