PS: the 'sigGenBuiltindemo.py' and 'fft' demo both work with the 5000 just by changing the 6000 to 5000 in the example file. So that's also good...

I think you should change the fine name and class to PS5000a. There is a small difference in the hardware and the library called.

Also, I know for a fact that the awg delta phase calculations are wrong in the programming guide.
I'll create a new issue when I get to my desktop

Sure - 5000a keeps in line with the lib naming. I had named it 5000 before I realized the lib name from pico, and never bothered changing ;-)

The real issue is that the 5000 DLL didn't work with 5000a devices when I tried it.
I wonder is the the 5000a is backwards compatible.

ah... crap I didn't realize there was a 5000, thought it was only 5000a. Yes that is a major issue!
