ksql-cli hangs after server maintenance, WARN No records received after 30 seconds of polling in log about ksql HOT 5 CLOSED

I believe we have seen something similar before. It would be useful to capture the thread dump to see that threads blocked causing the hang. I guess you know already but you can use jps to identify the process and then jstack to get a thread dump.

Yesterday I've experienced the same issue as @alexhafner , "ksql-cli local" worked very well when I first used it and after that it started hanging. I followed @alexhafner suggestions erasing the transient and the queries files, I even recompiled ksql again, but with no luck.

I have ksql installed also on other two systems and it works just fine. I couldn't replicate the same issue on these systems.

It looks like the command topic has a mismatch whats expected from the queue and not receiving anything. Thanks for reporting, will take a look asap.
