Thanks for sharing this. I'll look into what we might be able to do about it. I'm also planning to make it more automatic to run the server through the PyPI package, which is another route that wouldn't cause this.
I'll let you know when there's an update there, but until then the best way to proceed is manually running with the PyPI package

sorry to hear this. Same solution as above is what you will have to do for now unless you can temporarily disable or put Continue on an allow-list.

@zeddyemmy @ecchichan As of yesterday, the official VS Code extension comes with the binary pre-installed so I would expect that there are no issues from Windows Defender. Can either of you verify that this is the case?
