Some considerations.

pipelines.yml

Module or dir path? Root module and then a submodule + fn or full module path + fn name? Not that this really matters for the path resolution.

Paths

If you point to some path, what is a root from which to resolve it? Pipeline module? What if pipeline module is shipped as actual installable module? Should we have a home dir concept? Should pipelines.yml define home dir? Show it be inferred from pipelines.yml?

You could also eg define a common inputs, outputs and intermediate dirs.

Env vars and credential injection

Env vars inside config files (not sure if that's not overlapping with actually having an env file, but eg credentials are often injected from env in server contexts. Not sure if that's different from heroku)

What about eg home dir in paths? Or stuff like home_dir, pipeline_dir? output_dir?
