@gwenoleR thanks for flagging! The tamagui documentation is pretty shit and I'm not entirely sure which configuration would address this, off the top of my head. Are you aware of it? Perhaps @benschac can provide some insight?

I've done some testing, but I think it's more a bug on Tamagui with expo Web than the configuration created by your CLI.
It seems that the default style is not applied to Tamagui's Text component.
For example, if you add fontFamily: '$heading' to the custom Title component, the font is applied.
EDIT: In fact, according to the doc, this is normal, if we want to inherit the style, we must use SizableText
from create-expo-stack.
