We used the 72 / 73 body landmarks given in the CAESAR dataset. As we say in the paper:

"Our approach assumes that accurate 3D body landmarks are given, and their automatic extraction from 3D scans is out of the scope of this work."

To find the landmarks you might use one of the existing approaches we mention in the paper. However I do not believe that any of them are open source so you'll need to implement them yourself.

Other than that, you can maybe fit an SMPL body model to the scan and transfer the landmarks from the fitted body model. There are a few codebases out there or you can check my codebase here that fits and SMPL body model to a scan using landmarks (the landmark locations do not need to be precise so you can click on a few approximate points for the landmarks to use for the fitting.
