I want to supplement my topic with a small explanation of what I was doing, perhaps this will somehow help in eliminating my mistake:

At first, I exported one model, worked with it in a blender and there was a need for a second model.. I switched to DAZ 3D, uploaded the character and started exporting it. The export went without any problems, but when I tried to import the model into Blender, I came across the fact that the previous model is being imported.. I did some digging on the Internet, but I didn't find an answer to my question.. I decided to delete FIG and INV and the export started working again. I exported everything I needed and forgot about DAZ 3D for a while.. After a while, it came in handy again, but instead of successfully exporting, I was met with an error.. I tried to do the same thing as before, but it still didn't help.. I tried reinstalling the plugin to no avail..

I have the same problem, it stopped working. Does not create the FBX mesh. I tried everything. I was using the DAZ plugin installed with DIM. I tried everything, formatted the machine, fresh installation, Windows 11.
I can't find the solution anywhere. Now I am trying to install the DaztoBlender from Github but they have other files and the information on this page talks about the automatic installation plugin but they do not explain anywhere how it must be installed manually. very absurd.

Hi, @curtexe2345. Sorry for the late response. The error message you are seeing is related to an issue writing the "B_FIG.FBX" file that is located in the blender intermediate folder (C:\Users<USERNAME>\Documents\DAZ 3D\Bridges\Daz To Blender\Exports). This file needs to be overwritten with a new character each time you export from Daz Studio. You are doing the correct work-around by deleting the FIG and ENV folders. When you see an old character being imported, it means an error occurred while trying to write out a new character in its place.

This error is related to file permissions of the B_FIG.FBX file. The most common reason for this error to happen is if you have OneDrive backup enabled. This causes Windows to check online every time a file is loaded, deleted or over-written, which can cause unforeseen errors in programs like Daz Studio. One possible work-around is to completely Disable One Drive Backup (or at least disable Backup of you Documents folder).

We are working on developing a better solution, you can track it here: (KNOWN ISSUE: OneDrive Online Documents Backup is incompatible with DazToBlender #204)
