Major enhancement is that the copy of the Apache Tomcat 6.0.29 is removed from the deegree code base. The build is even a bit faster. Now it is quite simple to build a distribution bundle with a different version of Apache Tomcat just by changing the tomcat-version property in the /deegree-services/deegree-webservices-tomcat-bundle/pom.xml file.

Instead of using the packaged Tomcat with deegree we recommend to use the available Docker images for deegree 3.3+ and 3.4+ at https://hub.docker.com/r/tfr42/deegree/ .

For deegree 3.4-RC6 and higher you can use also the Dockerfile available in https://github.com/deegree/deegree3-docker
