Not Developing for this app but my question is what device do you use and where you downloaded it because the F-Droid version doesn't work any more.
Note:
The app is developed with React Native it's an Open Source Framework developed and maintained by Facebook but you don't have to worry this app doesn't communicate with Facebook

i run a gapps free lineageos.
i loaded it from f-droid in version 1.2.2.
what does "doesn't work anymore" mean - is it intended that is doesn't work?

The Version in F-Droid is outdatet you can Download the newest Version from Website
