Failed to load application: [Errno 13] Permission denied: 'public.key' about kippo HOT 7 CLOSED

Looks like kippo simply doesn't have permission to write the public.key file.

Check the file permissions, maybe the directory is owned by another user or something.

Status: Invalid

I known how to solve this problem now.
run commond "chmod -R 777 kippo" under root to make sure that your normal user have permissions to create files.

I'm having the same problem.
Even with "chmod -R 777 kippo" giving every user access to the kippo folder, I still get [Errno 13] Permission denied

I installed Kippo and its dependencies yesterday, on Debian ....so it should all be up-to-date.

I am having this problem with the up-to-date Kippo I downloaded under: svn checkout http://kippo.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/ kippo-read-only

Having tried Kippo 0.8 today everything worked fine. (no chmod 777 necessary)
