Ideas for in-class activity?

• Sampling problems/"veil line"?
  • could run a simulation
• Feasible set puzzle?
• Frank papers?
• Could throw out to students - what's a thing we could count? (Song plays...if only I used spotify)
• Or just lead a discussion

Song plays data is exhaustive and fun, but might be just as well to use biological data...!

Then have folks (if binder is working)

• Run subsampling with different sample sizes

• Share plots, hill numbers (this will flag issues of richness and the veil line)

• Could provide a couple datasets so folks get different outcomes (Portal rats, arthropods, BBS, song plays, ...?)
