Setting secret key from env variable about localstorage-slim HOT 1 CLOSED

The default encryption(obfuscation) implementation expects a number as its secret, so if you try using a string, it will certainly not work. Also note that the secret should be no greater than a 15-digit number. Regarding your code, I was unable to reproduce the issue locally. I also created a jsfiddle to demonstrate that it works just as expected. In your case, I suspect that the environment variable is not being passed correctly to localstorage-slim or the secret has more than 15-digits. You may wanna use CryptoJS for encryption purposes (tutorial) which does not have this limitation of 15-digits and you can use strings to encrypt your data.
As the issue is unrelated to localstorage-slim, I will go ahead and close this issue.

[Note that If you try the above jsfiddle within an incognito window, it won't work because localStorage is not supported in the incognito mode. Localstorage-slim defaults to returning null in such a case]
