I changed the region names and answered the estate questions differently and restarted OpenSim. It is now running.

ah...i was wondering: how do you change the region names? in the RegionConfig.ini file directly? because "change region ..." as a server command doesn't do that - it only restricts the following cmds to that region...thanks!
