ah... if the problem is what i think it is, it's fixed in the 0.9.8.5 (i suspect some behavioral change in dealing with hash-table size changes, which can lead to the describe behavior -- on emacs24 but not on emacs 23)

I have updated to HEAD; I will need to wait for an unkempt inbox to test things now! Thanks for the rapid replies (as usual).

Also, I love that replied-to are a different color now! And, if I may digress a bit, mu4e is the first e-mail client I've ever liked--and I've used everything from pine to Outlook. I was even there for Oddpost! Anyway, my next feature request is for a donate button in the README :)

Thanks for the nice words! mu4e is pretty young (first release ~ 6 months ago), but I'm quite happy with the progress so far. Let's see where it will take us!
