I'm experiencing the same thing. All SSB's crash now after displaying the notification that a Chrome update is available.

Hey everyone, just wanted to give you a heads-up that I think we have a fix for this. It works on my machine and we're testing it with some other setups. Hope to have a new release uploaded later tonight.
Sorry for my absence and sorry apps aren't working at the moment, but should be fixed in a couple hours...

OK, version 2.1.7 is online! Check it out and let me know if it works for you. Hopefully no more problems with the new Chrome version. I'll optimistically close this issue for now, but if problems persist we can reopen.

Hey @ydnar, I'm not able to reproduce this. My Chrome just updated to 48.0.2564.97 and I then ran my SSBs, which all updated and are running fine.
Can you check About Google Chrome in Chrome itself and make sure that it has finished updating? After it downloads the latest update, you have to quit Chrome and restart it to make it "take" the update. Let me know if that makes any difference?

Updating to Epichrome 2.1.8 seems to have fixed the issue for me.
