Why not? Providing justification on why changes should be made will allow people like myself to make informed decisions, rather than just making decisions. Something which I'm sure we both can agree is a better way of doing things, is it not?

Sure.
It adds an additional step, to remove the content from your website, when creating a docpad site. If it were only a couple of pages it would probably be fine, but it's several pages, stylesheets etc in multiple folders.
As creating the skeleton site is the default task for the command line tool, I've often accidentally created a version of your site which is a little annoying too.
