Important first point: This move does not affect Symfony 2.0 apps at all, only the Symfony master is affected.
I can't use Doctrine 2.2.0 with Symfony 2.0.9?
With old DoctrineBundle (in Symfony organization) and Doctrine 2.2.0 I also got an error:
PHP Fatal error: Call to a member function getNamespacename() on a non-object in
[...]vendor\symfony\src\Symfony\Bundle\DoctrineBundle\Mapping\MetadataFactory.php on line 108

Symfony 2.0.9 is not compatible with Doctrine 2.2. This has already been fixed in the 2.0 branch (and so will work in 2.0.10)
