Just had a quick look and the script is looking at the start and end time, I'm wondering if it's a summer time problem, as the event is set to end at 7pm which would be 6pm GMT, which would count as afternoon not evening. Another event from 17:30 to 19:30 is being picked up correctly.

Guess it could be. Looking at the footer of the emails from FoE (not totally sure how I've ended up on their mailing list, but somehow have and just received an email from them :-) it says:
"Regular group meetings are on the third Wednesday of every month, from 18:30-20:00
at DoES Liverpool, Floor 4, Gostins Building, 32-36 Hanover Street, Liverpool, L1 4LN"
So the booking we have is wrong anyway, and fixing that would presumably fix(/hide) this issue
